This house allowed Concept to show true diversity in our ability to design and build homes that meet our clients needs, wants and budget perfectly. The brief given by the Raichles was to build a home that was warm and inviting but above all else environmentally friendly and energy efficient. They wanted us to use materials and construction systems that would stand the test of time and work with, rather than against nature. Straw bale construction was chosen as it would not only suit the site conditions but meet the brief. Extensive research was undertaken throughout the design/build process to keep the project on track.
